About the Eaters

A Microwavable Feast is written by five friends who met in college.  Now in our mid-20s, we have all gone our separate ways: to four different cities in Texas and to graduate school, to the work force, or to both.  While many food blogs are focused primarily on nutrition or gourmet cooking, ours is simply a representation of how many single-household people our age feed themselves.  Most of us don’t have much money and have even less time.  Luckily we still earn enough to drink good beer.

Jameson is a legal assistant and an information studies graduate student living in Austin, TX.  His hobbies include distance runing, researching, being awkward around women, and blowing everything out of proportion.  He is convinced that the pinnacle of cuisine is the cheeseburger.

Trust me.

Daniel. I am a manager at a specialty running store in Dallas, TX.  His dream is to one day live in a world where everyone is fed government subsidized Chipotle burritos and Harp Lager. Until then, he coaches running classes, obsesses over the Texas Rangers, drinks beer, and attempts to make cooking for the single madame bearable and somewhat nutritious.

Beer. My lover.

Evan is an almost-lawyer who’s set to graduate from lawyer school. Although a proud Houstonian, Evan lives and works in a San Antonio, TX brothel. He likens his role on A Microwavable Feast to the streamers on a little girl’s bicycle. Like the streamers, Evan really doesn’t do anything productive, but he looks pretty and contributes to the overall aesthetic experience of reading this blog.

What a guy.

Jess is a personal trainer and marathon runner living in Houston, TX.  She is a healthy eater who likes to cook, but her work schedule demands that she eat quick dinners late in the evening.  Luckily for Jess, peanut butter from the jar is quick.  She eats a lot of vegetables and balances them out with cookies.

Cookie baker disguised as trainer.

Geno is a medical student living in Houston, TX.  He is so busy that he could not write this bio himself.  He takes a similar approach to food and uses a lot of convenience products and leftovers made by other people, yet still manages a mostly balanced diet.  He gets random, intense cravings for Whataburger.
